Etchings

There have been many techniques used over the centuries to etch images into stone. Not to be confused with sand-carving, the term, 'etching' in the monument industry refers to a higher-resolution image which has been engraved directly into the surface of polished granite. Two of the more popular techniques practiced in the industry today implement the use of lasers and the manual, hand-crafted method. Both of which offer a much higher detailed image than any other process.

All the images in this gallery are some examples of etchings hand-crafted by our artist, a veteran of the trade for many years.  Laser-crafted examples, available upon request.
